Alice Ndanu Tama is a highly experienced project coordinator with over a decade of expertise in project management, leadership, and strategy development. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Gender, Women, and Development Studies from Egerton University and has built a strong foundation in resource mobilization, gender-responsive programming, and health initiatives. Her ability to design and implement transformative strategies has been instrumental in advancing gender and health programs, ensuring lasting impact.
As the Health Coordinator at Moving The Goalposts (MTG), Alice oversees the Health Department, ensuring the effective management of life skills training, curriculum development, stakeholder engagement, and program reviews. She leads county-level advocacy efforts, championing initiatives that promote improved health outcomes for girls and young women. She also manages budgeting, resource mobilization, reporting, and staff supervision, ensuring that MTG’s health programs achieve their intended impact.
Alice successfully secured a $370 million multiyear grant, strengthening SRHR programs through strategic resource mobilization. She integrated gender-transformative approaches into MTG’s programming, enhancing inclusivity and focus on girls’ rights. Under her leadership, the Teen Mums project gained county-level recognition, increasing community support for MTG’s initiatives. She has managed teams, developed training manuals, and led project planning, ensuring efficient delivery of programs. Alice has also strengthened donor relations, built key government partnerships, and contributed to scientific writing and research, presenting abstracts and serving as a panelist at international conferences on gender and health.
With a leadership approach centered on innovation, accountability, and impact, Alice continues to drive meaningful change at MTG and beyond. She is guided by her belief that “If I can enjoy what I’m doing, I can work harder.”
