Celestine Nzaro

Celestine has been in Moving the Goalposts since 2006. She has MTG seen growing and has been an active part of it in various volunteer roles. In 2011 Celestine was ready for some new volunteering challenges: she led the MTG residential training and was stand in MTG United coordinator. Now she is a staff member who, on Sundays, likes to officiate matches for the Football Kenya Federation.

Peris Mwaka Anderson

Peris showed what she was capable of doing when, as a new MTG member and volunteer, she was in charge of assisting a group of UK volunteers in the Field of Dreams project that brought live football to Kilifi on a big video screen during the World Cup 2010. Her potential remained not unnoticed, early 2012 Peris was employed as assistant health coordinator.

Dorcas Amakobe

Joining MTG was a humble experience for Dorcas. She was a trained professional, but new in the football pitch. The MTG girls taught Dorcas how to play football and they learned leadership- and life skills from her in return. After becoming a community liaison coordinator Dorcas' life has never been the same again.

Javan Chiro

Javan joined MTG as the MTG driver in June 2012. In the short time that he has been in the organization he got impressed how MTG staff and volunteers share responsibilities and organize activities together and how this empowering process works.

Harriet Chea

Harriet thinks that how MTG is giving reproductive health information to girls, is unique. As a former MTG player she has benefited a lot from the reproductive health information that she has received. Now, as an account clerk, she supports MTG staff to continue with the work it is doing for the girls in Kilifi county and the community at large.

Beatrice Mapenzi

Beatrice was one of the first girls to join Moving the Goalposts. As a responsible, hardworking and trustworthy young woman the job as Office Assistant suits her well. In this role she supports programme staff to conduct the activities that she believes are instrumental for girls to get to know their rights and become empowered young women.

Marion Kahindi

Marion Kahindi started as a player and a first aider in Moving the Goalposts. She was a very active volunteer. She took her chances in 2012: first she was selected to represent MTG in streetfootballworlds'  Young Leaders Exchange with Sport the Bridge in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Shortly after she was employed as assistant health coordinator.

Cocky van Dam

Cocky has been empowered by football. Not in Kilifi, but in the Netherlands. Where, way back, football was a men's game. During her training as a professional sports coach Cocky developed the passion for using "sport as a tool". Twenty years of working as a sport/psychomotor therapist and the love for traveling brought her as a VSO volunteer to Moving the Goalposts, where she still enjoys every minute!
